Part of Leeds City Council, the Leeds Markets team run and manage Leeds Kirkgate Market, Pudsey Market, Otley Market and Yeadon Market. The management includes everything from operational activities such as cleanliness an hygiene, licensing for traders, marketing of the individual markets, planning events and ensuring that the market areas are maintained.
The team also deliver three regular farmer’s markets at Pudsey, Leeds Kirkgate Market and a new farmer’s and craft market at Briggate.
Based at Leeds Kirkgate Market, the Leeds Markets team manage these regular markets on behalf of by Leeds City Council, but the team also encourage other organisations and individuals to hold their own markets. The team provide licenses for all markets in Leeds including car boot sales, craft markets and pop-up stalls for special occasions.
